How to Create a Terminal

Note: you need to be subscribed to the specific plan to have access.

The soft terminal is managed both on the web and mobile. I will guide you on how to create a terminal on both platforms

On The Web:

To create a terminal on the web, navigate to soft terminal on the side bar, click it. If its your first time you will see a welcome screen like the on below 

You are required to subscribe to the soft terminal plan to be able to create a terminal, if you haven't you will see a "Subscribe" button but If you have subscribed, you will see "Create a Soft Terminal" click it 

Follow the instructions, 

• select the branch you want you the terminal created under, 
  
• give the soft terminal a name (something unique and easy to identify like the name of the store the terminal will be used at e.g Jackie's Fashion House)
  
• create a password (this will be used by your cashier to log in to this terminal from the soft terminal cashier app) 
• create Transaction Pin (if you give your cashier access to make transfers, they will use this pin to authorise transfers)

Once done, click Continue you'd be moved to the next screen, here you'd select the bank you want your terminal collection account created under. 

Congratulations!!! Now you can manage all terminals. View all transactions for each terminal, view which cashier is assigned or processed a transaction and which branch the terminal belongs to and more.

Full transparency and control over your account. You can start collecting payment instantly.

On Mobile:

To create a terminal on the soft terminal admin app, Log in to the app with your credentials, you will land on the Home Screen, at the top you will see Create Terminal click it

Note: You are required to subscribe to the soft terminal plan to be able to have access to soft terminal

Follow the instructions,

• select the branch you want you the terminal created under,
  
• give the soft terminal a name (something unique and easy to identify like the name of the store the terminal will be used at e.g Jackie's Fashion House)
  
• create a password (this will be used by your cashier to log in to this terminal from the soft terminal cashier app)
• create Transaction Pin (if you give your cashier access to make transfers, they will use this pin to authorise transfers)

Once done click Proceed. Your Soft Terminal has been created successfully and you can start collecting payment instantly. Display terminal collection account number and bank at your store.
